On Saturday, relief materials were distributed to flood-affected families, including 41 households from Ward No. 5 of Bidur Municipality in Nuwakot, as well as families staying in temporary shelters in the Devighat area of Ward No. 1 of Bidur Municipality.
The relief package included rice, lentils, salt, cooking oil, jars of drinking water, sanitation materials, and other essential daily-use items. According to FORWARD Group, relief materials worth approximately NPR 1 million were distributed.
The relief distribution was carried out through the cooperation and coordination of FORWARD Group, FORWARD Microfinance, and the Forum for Rural Women Ardency Development. On the occasion, Deputy Mayor of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City, Sangita Chaudhary, also contributed food supplies for the relief effort.
The relief materials were distributed to flood-affected residents of Uttargaya Rural Municipality in Rasuwa, as well as displaced families staying in the Devighat and Trishuli Bazaar areas of Nuwakot.
