## Handover Ceremony of 100 Safe Houses for Underprivileged Families
The Forum for Rural Women Ardency Development Nepal (FORWARD Nepal), which has been actively promoting social transformation through education, health, sanitation, environmental, and community-centred programs for the past 25 years, formally handed over 100 safe houses constructed with its technical support.
The houses were built with financial support from the international donor organization Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation for landless families from poor, underprivileged, Dalit, and Musahar communities living in Duhabi Municipality, Gadhi Rural Municipality, Barju Rural Municipality, and Inaruwa Municipality of Sunsari District.
### Completion and Handover of 100 Safe Houses
The project was inaugurated on Kartik 16, 2081 B.S., and the completed houses were handed over on Mangsir 9, 2082 B.S.
Under the project, the following houses were constructed:
* Gadhi Rural Municipality–2: 40 houses
* Barju Rural Municipality–1, 3 and 5: 30 houses
* Inaruwa Municipality–7: 16 houses
* Duhabi Municipality–1: 14 houses
According to FORWARD Nepal, a total of 100 safe houses were completed. The houses were designed and constructed with modern, family-friendly structures.
### Relief Materials Distributed Alongside the Houses
During the handover ceremony, each family also received:
* Two blankets
* One sack of rice
* Five litres of cooking oil
* Other food items and essential supplies
These materials helped the families meet their basic daily needs as they moved into their new homes.
