Lower Tamor Landscape Conservation Project (COMDEKS)

FORWARD is implementing the “Lower Tamor Landscape Conservation Project” (COMDEKS) in Wards 1 and 2 of Barahakshetra Municipality. The project promotes sustainable moringa farming by strengthening existing cultivation practices, identifying and empowering farmers, building their capacities and adding value throughout the production and supply chain. It addresses low incomes, limited knowledge of utilizing locally produced goods, low agricultural productivity, inadequate market access and environmental degradation. The primary beneficiaries include smallholder moringa, turmeric, ginger and other farmers, local communities and consumers. Through moringa’s nutritional and commercial potential, the project aims to improve livelihoods, enhance nutrition and create sustainable economic opportunities.
